You will be part of a team that deliver comprehensive big data and cloud infrastructure and software tools to support Bosch data and AI projects. We are a new and growing team at the R&D-center in Lund that has skilled and innovative colleagues within cloud, data and machine learning engineering. You will also have close co-operation with international teams within Bosch, such as Bosch center for AI. As a Data Engineer at Bosch there is an opportunity to take on challenges in many different areas and projects, with topics like:

  • Build reliable and scalable data pipelines.
  • Take part in the architecture and design process of new use cases.
  • Work together with customers, e.g. Data Scientists, to realize data- and AI products.
  • Build solutions both in cloud and on-premise – as well as hybrid setups.
  • Take ownership of pipelines and tools.



We are looking for you who have several years of experience as a data engineer or similar role. In order to be successful in this role, we see that a broad range of knowledge is required. Examples of meriting topics are: 

  • software development of production quality code in one or more programming languages, e.g. Scala, Python and Java etc.
  • Big Data technologies and distributed computing, e.g. data processing with Spark and Scala.
  • Data management, e.g. APIs, accessibility, security, metadata, schemas etc.
  • Database technologies – both SQL and NoSQL
  • Data processing methodologies, tools and orchestration, e.g. ETL, Batch/Streaming, Kafka, Airflow, etc.

You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. We expect you to have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. As a person you are a self- motivated team player who brings a positive, co-operative and knowledge-sharing attitude. You are communicative, responsive and like to work with a customer and goal focus. You also have good critical thinking skills, a continuous learning mindset and a strong sense of quality.
